CRTC delivers win for consumers
The CRTC rejected an application by Telus and Bell Canada to increase phone bills upwards of $1 to compensate for the removal of connection charges for new or moving residential customers.
The Public Interest Advocacy Centre, on behalf of the Consumers’ Association of Canada and the National Anti-Poverty Organization (NAPO) and over 2500 consumers wrote to the CRTC opposing the rate increase.
